APARTMENT

Starting from a blank slate when moving to Amsterdam, we had to furnish our 1 bedroom apartment from scratch. As the apartment gets a lot of light throughout the day, I knew I wanted to bring in some color to offset the mostly white walls. Incorporating a green velvet sofa as the main focal point, I weaved in a deep red for contrast and kept the rest of the color fairly neutral.

The bedroom is left pretty light and neutral. The large ivory rug softens the room against the black dresser and bed frame. I included a larger mirror to add some depth to the small space.
The large living/dining/kitchen area also had to double as a work from home space. By including a large open bookshelf, I created some separation while still keeping the space open and airy.
